Differentiation can work for SEI, Sped, and Gifted students. I think it is just good teaching practice. All students can benefit from teaching to all modalities. By knowing your students learning modalities you can guide their self direction so that they can sky-rocket their self directed learning.

I think I got more out of our class discussion...I realized how society has put jobs descriptions as a form of pride. Because it does not fit thier job, someone will not do it to help for the better good of all. It is important for us to help our students take responsibility in a job well done and self assess themselves.

Differentiation is a best teaching practice. It address all students (special ed, gifted, SEI, and "the rest of us"!) at their learning level, style, and interest. It helps to guide students in learning so that they can achieve the standard. It gives self-direction. It help me to visualize how to address levels of learning without increasing the workload.
I think the best thing out this unit was the discussion. We need to work with our students in helping them understand that we are all part of society and we need to achieve and help each other.
